Reviews for "Assault Day"

Fair enough.

Pretty good job.

Controls where a little glitchy at times. I had several occasions when my man would just head in one direction constantly and I had to fire and move him in that direction before I regained control of him. Which wastes a bullet and can be a real pain when there's enemies swarming.

Also, I think the strength of your weapons is imbalanced. Usually, weapons that you get later in the game mean more powerful stuff, but it wasn't always the case in this game. I felt the most powerful weapons to be some of the very first I received as opposed to some of the later weapons. And when a particular weapon runs out of bullets, I think the better thing to do is to automatically switch to the next weapon in strength order instead of just the weapon before it. Like if I was using the 2nd gun and I had ammo for the 5th or 6th, it should switch straight to that instead of going back to the first gun.

And your AI is a little retarded. I don't know how this is meant to work, but AI shooting in random directions is just plain wrong. I had so many enemies shooting randomly and they weren't even aiming at me. The only ones that seemed to be on target all the time were the dogs and the exploding things.

Gameplay was also a tad slow for my liking. It needs to be a little smoother for that adrenaline rush to really happen.

And also, this game desperately needs a health drop. Health drop = possibility for even more insane levels and more fun. One life only and only 20 hits is kinda limiting. Health upgrades do not necessarily make things easier, but they can certainly make things more chaotic and exciting for these kind of games.

Build on it.

Pretty durn good!

Dude, the first time the dogs charged at me, it FREAKED ME OUT! Those things are FAST! Nice job. BTW, how many levels are there? Just want to know if it's endless or if there's a last level... I haven't gotten that far... yet.

jimmy responds:

There are 30 levels,

thanks for the review :)

That was awesome!

I look forward to seeing more of your work.I'm 33rd on all time global :3

good

good job dude

i like it

its really fun, only gripe is that u dont start getting newer weps till level 4 or so, and the dogs hit detection is kinda wide, i wasnt anywhere near its mouth and it still gave me damage, i say put in a wall or something for cover and u have a winner!
