Reviews for "Interactive Pistol v1.0"

Not too bad for a first.

It's not too bad for a first flash, I would recommend avoiding MS Paint style graphics next time. Also, the idea appeals me, interactive pistol, why not after all, it could be fun if you elaborated this more. A gadget involving a weapon that isn't in a game would be original and a good timekiller. If you want to push it further, do more weapons - and of course, leave the players free to do what they want instead of following steps then make the "try again" screen pop up. Anyway, that was a good attempt, it gets my 2. I hope you will improve yourself soon. =)

VirusX117 responds:

Well, for one it wasnt MS Paint, it was actually done with 100% Flash tools. And when I made it I had no access to anything other than basic flash tools so I could only go so far with the detail. And about the "Do whatever they want concept"... Well, that can only be taken so far. For example: after reloading you must cock the slide back or you wont be firing anything. And the hammer always gets cocked before the first shot, even on an automatic. And you can bet your ass I'll be doing more weapons!

Issues

1. You taught us how to use a weapon (in a sense that's not blamable I think so you're lucky)
2. No sound
3. Why can it only fire one bullet rather than the whole magazine, it gets annoying to go through the entire steps
4. I doesn't need a replay button, just make it go through an entire magazine and make it reload again
5. Possibly other weapons

VirusX117 responds:

1.) CSI teaches you to fire a weapon (also and the right to bare arms is in the US constitution so...)
2.) I know, and I even addressed that at the end.
3.) Two reasons, 1] I dont know how to make it fire a set number of rounds then force you to reload and 2] I updated it so you can now fire as many rounds as you want to... until you reload.
4) Then where would I put the credits, hm?
5) In progress.

Pretty Lame

All there is to do here is press four buttons, this is hardly very interactive. Next time try harder on the graphics as well.

It was okay...

There was a flash exactly like this, except 10 times better.

Bad

The graphics are pretty poor, the gun looks horribly disproportionate, there's no background to it etc, etc. There's no sound. Saying that you'll add sound later isn't an excuse; how 'bout you finish your project BEFORE you submit it next time. If you submit an unfinished flash, you get scored for an unfinished flash, which means if you'd done a really good job you might have gotten a 6 or a 7, but this is far from good.

This is just four buttons you have to press in order. Not exactly intresting for anyone above the age of 3. Hell, you can't even fail by pressing the buttons in the wrong order! And the reward you get for clicking your mouse four times is a credits screen, as if something like this needs a credits screen anyway.

Overall, poor effort. I was considering giving you a star for not making your first submission stick fighting, but by that standard anyone who doesn't submit at all deserves an 8, so I guess you're out of luck.

VirusX117 responds:

Can't please everyone I guess.
