Having played the previous EW games, I noticed quite a few changes. The 3 levels per stage thing actually was cool when you didn't have the all guns cheat on. You had to pick up a new weapon if you ran out of ammo. That part felt really realistic. Another feature I liked was the ability to pick which teamate you moved. In endless war 3, I was annoyed when everyone of your allies came running at your cursor when you held down q. Another thing I really really liked was the ability to sneak up on people. In the previous EW games, the enemy magically knew that you were behind them, even if you were right behind them. Now, sneaking up is way easier when you run out of ammo and only have a knife
But, there were some things I thought could be improved. There was no way to track what stages you had beaten. In the last EW, you knew you had beatn up to where the level was locked . Since there were no level chains in this game, that feature has vanished. A little "clear" icon would have helped a lot. Also, as many others have noted, there were not as many levels as in previous games. Another thing, maybe this was just me, but you had very random battles. I wanted to see something like d-day, even though we have already seen that in EW3. It would have been different with the three level thing. Maybe just me!
Over-all, it does feel different, but I thought that was a nice break from the normal cycle of EW games previously made. New weapons, a nice 3 part level scheme, and great teammate control amount to a wonderful shooting game. Keep up the good work!
