Shape tweens?
it was good for what it was.
not much in the way of animation, it was more like a motion graphics piece.
On alot of the fading in words it looked like you used shape tweens, which is fine except for the slight distortion. if you had used a motion tween, or classic tween in CS4 you could keyframe the alpha to fade the text in without any distorion, and you can add other effects to text when it is a symbol (specifically movie clip)

If this was my web design class, you would fail; especially if this was an "advance" web design, as you claim. There is literally nothing going on in this. Simple tweening of text/pics, fading colors, and sub-par sound quality. Sure you have some extremely basic script going on with the sound controls, but that does absolutely nothing to save this.

The animation was really good, but the music quality was not the best, either way, it was really well done.
