Great fusion of gameplay and art. Bland mission.
Definitely a nice homage to classic games, this game clearly combines artistic elements seen in Knytt and Gamma Bros. while keeping gameplay increasingly interesting until the very end.
That last bit is exactly it, though. Until the end, the game is fun to play, although a bland mission (collect X hidden items). The problem with such a mission is that it becomes a very frustrating hunt at the end, with your one or two boxes left.
It certainly proved more interesting than this advertised fantasy game on my left called "Duels," but its quirks kept it from receiving my highest forms of merit. In other words, your game was great and surprisingly quick, but a little more love for the actual goal would have made the game all the more filling.
