Kicks Ass... So beautiful... I love how the beat fits in perfectly with the strings, plus the whole construction of the song kicks ass...

Karbon responds:

The downloads are increasing fast. This might have the potential to actualy be diamond.

We will see.

Daaaang.....

THIS IS the hardest beat on here. Excellent, detailed and dramatic. Flawless.

Karbon responds:

As of hardest, it was pretty hard to get the orchestra down. Dramatic, it can be. You have to look at it sideways to get that if you know what I mean.

Reminds me of Zelda

Hey , awesome track! This track at the beginning reminds me of zelda ,, awesome job man!

Karbon responds:

I was originaly aiming for a video game type melody for the orchestra, which is probably the reason why it reminds you of Zelda.

Thanks for the review.

Defining Sampling

At mention of sampling, I'm fairly sure people are referring to the use of a sample, not the use of a melodic or rhythmic loop.

Do you mean to say you recorded the string sample, then used it to make a melody? That's sampling. Do you mean to say you synthesized the instrument on a graintable or other synth? That's not sampling.

If you used any mechanically recorded sounds, whether they came with the program or you recorded them yourself, you have sampled. Sampling is not regarded as a negative occurence at all. On the contrary: there are many important skills associated with sampling, such as slicing and applying LFOs.

This is a pleasant piece. Strings are not too intrusive, but they are easily audible. Chords are generally original and have a classic touch. At some moments, adjacent semitones are played between the bass and strings, which cause a slight dissonance. This does not affect the song to any greater degree.

The beat is very minimal and rightfully so, as this allows listeners to easily exfoliate the layers of instruments beneath the beat. I feel that the bass takes form of sub-percussion and cello, or other low string instrument.

Please do not praise your own art: "A wonderful session of strings".

Good work,

Karbon responds:

Apperantly people don't understand that I use Edirol Orchestral for all of my orchestra type features. So that is far from sampling.

Once again, absolutly NO SAMPLING was used in this track.

I added the bass drop to feel the taste of the hip hop during the intro, to keep it from being a bore.

For the note on, "A wonderful session of strings", that is just me. I like to exaggerate. :P

Thank you for the highly constructed review.
