Cool thanks! And yes, hardcore Metroid, maybe a mix of Metroid with Resident Evil... or is that sacrilegious?

It's definitely inspired by Metroid so yeah, some similarities in places, though often it was more of a feeling I got from the game. ^^
As for programs, the guitar is actual recording played on my LTD F400 plugged into a UX2 and Pod Farm 2. The drums are Studio Drummer, synths are by Native Instruments too. I host everything in Reaper and I master with Ozone 5.

I haven't played a single metroid prime game but if the music is this good, I might be willing too.

The music in Metroid, much like Castlevania, has always be spectacular and all the games (or most) have something awesome to offer. Personally I love the 3D ones (Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3) because they offer such great environments and detailed gameplay (not to say the older ones didn't).
You should definitely check them out!
I love mixes with most of good quality metal and with electronics and all other kinds of music. Rock on!
