Reviews for "Skull in Connemara"

Cool!

I can just imagine seeing that through mist. I bet it was really ghostly. Did you do rotoscoping or was it all freehand?

You got the music from FreeplayMusic.com, didn't you? I used to browse on there for hours and now I hear those songs all over the place like TV commercials and stuff, it's really weird. I used to use their songs in my games till they changed the contract... :C

TheBoogley responds:

I did use rotoscoping in places, I filmed the leading man moving through some of the positions, but in a lot of cases I could only trace key frames and then I'd have to inbetween it freehand to keep the drawings lining up and looking correct. It's hard to make rotoscoping work and not look like badly traced video footage.
Yeah, freewebs is great, the director found the music he wanted there. :)

Dag Nabit

Now I want to see the play.

This was really neat - the rotoscoping looked especially good. Can't wait to see what it looked like in the end result.

TheBoogley responds:

I couldn't film it last night, I'm going to the theatre early tonight to try again.
The problem is I need a camera that can capture footage in dark conditions...

Jesus, man!

That WAS spooky! Also, it was quite good.

TheBoogley responds:

Jesus was a man, that is correct sir. :)

I do Love some experimental Noir

That was visually awesome! It was nice detour from your usual style, but a welcome one. Did you rotoscope any of the character movements, because the pacing was very well done?

TheBoogley responds:

Yeah, rotoscoping was involved, I filmed the lead actor from the play as reference and did a lot of drawings of him as well to get used to his psysiology, then used both to get the movement right.

Amazing

This was a wicked cool flash you made, the animation was awesome and out of this world i though with it's outstanding detail and wicked style cause it really fit the dark concept of the flash along with the eerie music too so it seemed to me that everything fit into place perfectly like a puzzle, overall i was very impressed with this flash you made and i loved it very much.

TheBoogley responds:

Thanks Molotov, it's great to know you are out there enjoying my work! :D
