Reviews for "Skull in Connemara"

Fantastic!

This is by far one of the best movies I've seen here!

Amazing art style, serious and dark story, and it really stands by it self as a little short story with something to say.

Great job.

TheBoogley responds:

Thanks Nakrull, you're not nearly as scary as your name sounds :)

very interesting

i liked the animation style very much and with the music it was great loved the atmosphere it created very creepy

TheBoogley responds:

If you like creepy love you must be really sad that Michael Jackson died...
then again, we could dig him up... :3

wow good job

music goes well with the animation, style of drawing goes well with the mood, the actual animation itself was a little choppy but that didnt matter as it seemed to compliment the clip.
thing is - i wann know the story!!!!! *cries* i porbs understand what your tring to build up to here if you gave a quick summery of the play its ment for, then i think top marks. (plz reply, if u can tell us the story :])

TheBoogley responds:

The play is about a guy who's wife died in a car accident 7 years ago, his job is to dig up old skeletons in the graveyard to make new for the newly deceased. Between the grave digging job and the way in which his wife died the people in the town are suspicious of him, and he is bitter and angry. So then the time comes that he has to dig up his wifes bones and everything gets a bit crazy. It's a comedy though, believe it or not.
Google it and you might find something better to read, or I can email you a pdf of the whole play. :)

Awsome

dude you are awsome

TheBoogley responds:

you are

Pretty good.

I'm not a big fan of this kind of "higher" type of art but this sure provoked some deep thoughts. At least in my case. Propably due to the fact that my mother owns a funeral parlor and, believe me, I've dealt with my share of the deceased.
The art was very nice and somehow left a great portion to be filled out by imagination, which is a good thing in my opinion.
The music was maybe a bit too powerful for my taste, but since I haven't seen the whole play it's hard to say how well it works in the complete production. Sure to wake up the audience at least!
All in all good work. Keep it up!

TheBoogley responds:

I've been watching six feet under, is life really like that in a funeral home?
I'm guessing that the answer is no, but I bet you have some crazy stories
Yeah, I feel the music is pretty strong for watching the animation here online,
but trust me, when in the theatre it fits perfectly.
thanks for the review :)
