most of the so called "tributes" on newgrounds are just offensive spam, and this was actually a tribute so kudos to you sir.

great way to disguise spam i guess
take a picture and some sad music you find and put them together. Oh, don't forget the words to strike an emotional string on the sympithizers of his death. hmm. well that's pretty much it, sad peope will give 5s, smart people will realize you put little effort into it and give it a 0. However, you are relying on the sadder audience. This isn't a flash submission at all. suggestions... Make a flash, you know animate Billy Ma.... well, that could only turn out bad but, maybe you should avoid the subject. well try it. But good way to hide spam, i'm just kidding this makes me sadderthan his death.

I've kinda looked forward to seeing a Billy Mays commercial on everyday. Me and my friends made fun of it, but not in a mean sort of way. I'm going to miss his commercials and want to see that new Oxi Clean commercial he made before he died. For those of you who don't know, Billy was coming back on a plane and the tire blew out. All the luggage started falling down into the seats and Billy took a hit to the head really hard. He said he was ok and had a "hard head". Little did he know he had a concussion and died the next morning probably while sleeping so we'll know that he died peacefully. At first I was going to give this a 5 on my review, and agree with some people below, as it isn't a good movie and had little effort. But, I judged the inspiration/thought of it and I decided to boost it a bit because your trying to do something kinda nice for a man that was loved by many.

I won't argue that it's not a good movie. I'm a terrible flash artist. Any time a draw something on paper, it ends up as a crumpled ball on the floor. Any time I draw something on the computer, it ends with a tap on the delete key.
But I want to make it clear that I put no less than 100% of all my effort into it.
This movie isn't meant to amaze anyone. It's a tribute. A memorial. A place where people can come to remember Billy and lay down their thoughts.

Well, it looks like you've beaten everyone else to it (maybe not, but the fact you have a 3.8 score says something). I see you've also made a Michael Jackson tribute and a bunch of hentai games.
It's pretty obvious everyone is voting 5 and reviewing 10 because they thought the 500 youtube poops of Billy Mays were funny, or they thought Mays was a good guy (he probably was, I have no idea). I don't know why it looks like the majority of people liked this crappy text slideshow (if you can even call it that), but this is newgrounds, so you never know.
All I ask of you is to spend more than 10 minutes on your work, and do something original that isn't just trying to give the majority what they want (hentai games and 30 second tribute flashes). I mean, you even stuck in a lame joke in the author's comments. At least you didn't say he was yelling at the angels.
I know I'm not the only one that thinks this; hopefully you'll consider making something interesting in the future.
