Great
This is a good demo with good graphics, sound and gameplay. I'd like to see a complete version though.
Add:
- levels (with different backgrounds?).
- more monsters.
- power-ups?
- a shop?
It would be a great game if you make a complete version.

Good spoof game but the jumping eggplants is so annoying...and have only one level...
A good game overall, but could use a bit of work.
I hate to say it, mate but, contrary to your statement, a lot about this game is basic... the combo moves (or rather, the combo move) was basic, the music, while certainly not your basic music, gets repetitive, and the graphics were basic as well. Just liven things up a bit, make it more engaging, and this could be an excellent game. But for now, I can only give it a 7. (For what its worth, I like the idea. Cute. :D)

Still needs work.
The eggplants are too cheap. Try limiting the range of their stomp attacks to fix this. It also could use one or two more enemy types and some stage hazards (e.g. exploding barrels) to add more variety.
