Fair Dues
Don't normally review audio files, but hey, it's 5:00am (almost) and i'm feeling like taking a break and writing something different.
Well, clearly 'Rose of May' based, but is indeedy an interesting new take on it. I'm not upbeat on the jargin of the audio world, so I won't even try to use fancy words like 'contrabass' or 'sub-alto-whatchamathingy' or even the word 'tune' in this review.
All I can really say is that it's nice to finally hear a decent remake of this piece. Usually all I hear are near identical remakes (which are boring) or half assed MIDI attempts that frankly should be physically torn out of the internet and publicly flogged.
For what it's worth, the added umph given by the brass and snare drum is pretty effective in breathing much needed new life, without compromising on the musics original intent.
Good marks for you. Keep'em comming.
