Reviews for "Asaroki 09- Beginning"

Damn you!

For making a whole series at one time, I am jealous as hell for that lol. I just thought I'd get that off my chest, I've wanted to do something like this ever since I started animating and I give you mad respect for pulling it off.

Now for the review. I think this is a good series, I can tell you have skill. The drawings are nice and clean, and the story...makes sense... this is a rare delight here on NG. The voice acting is solid, though the sound quality is a bit unpleasant.
My main complaint is the animation, there is a god-awful amount of tweening here, looks like about 85% of the animation, and I know why. I know everything in this series is already animated, but for future reference, you need to find balance between drawing detail and quality animation. I notice you putting a lot of shading and such into the characters, which looks nice, but I can tell it's making you a little bit afraid to approach the fBf and it it tends to make some shots look a little cheap, even though they're just talking. I really think that you should simplify the detail on the keyframes just a little, whether it be the character designs or the shading so that you won't be afraid to actually "animate" the actions of the characters. But otherwise this is pretty cool what you did here making a whole saga, I'm completely jealous!

ArtistGamerGal responds:

Thanks a lot dude! I totally agree, I really did do way too much tweening in this series. My new animations (yet to upload on NG) have cut down on character detail and focus on fBf animation more. Thanks for the advice and support, it means a lot! Check out my new stuff when I finally get around to finishing it and let me know what you think :)

this is like...

...like reading a random shojo-manga from your local bookstore...i hope you improve...

WAT

religion in my mess? no way...

you may find this hard to believe-

but this has gotten way to predictable-
It Was good in the first couple episodes, but now it's just cliche
4 for animation
2 for story line

Ugh....

I know this will be ridiculed and criticized (lets throw away the thought that this is a review where I can criticize all I want to) but I have to point this out.
I'm noticing this "light realm against dark realm" plot is just a rewording of heaven and hell. And the [cleverly named] Master of Darkness is clearly Satan. Crows are demons and doves are angels, Kenna made a deal with the devil (excuse me; "Master of Darkness") and really this whole plot is a rewording of the cliched and overused "Deal with the Devil" story. Its sort of finding out the energy of the island in LOST shrouded in mystery was really just magic.... oh..... whoops....
*sigh* I'll keep watching, I got two more episodes, but frankly I'm disappointed.
