Reviews for "Bug War"

pretty good

only reason i give 9 is because the way u send units is weird, i kept finding myself sending units to the wrong place and losing my little bases when i tryed supporting them under attack... but its still good

Overall, a very fun game.

I have to say, I rather enjoyed the game. And, despite some frustrating issues, I couldn't get away from it until I beat it.

I love the graphics... Even when sending hundreds of units towards the enemy I experienced no lag what-so-ever. The concept is great; basically, tower defense from the perspective of the attackers. However, on that note, I have to say: The towers are nigh useless. I never used one until level 8, where I could not have beaten the level without them. Also, the controls are rather frustrating at times. Sometimes clicking a base will not work. When you get into frantically sending all of your units to one base you'll sometimes find that, rather than sending the units to that base, you're sending them away from it.

Overall, though, I rather like the game. I'd like to see more like it, I think.

(Also, as a PS: You might want to check how you're calculating statistics. Of the 16 towers I built, it says I lost 15. However, I know for a fact that I never lost a one.)

Good game. Bit tedious, but good.

It is entirely possible to win with beetles.

Beetle spoilers for level 8.

First, capture the point right above you. Once this is done, capture the one to the left of that. Then start attacking the ants till they die. The roaches probably have the center right now. Start sending beetles to the spawn connected to the middle. When you have about fifty more than the middle spawn, start adding basic towers to the very edge of the circle. Do this for both the one connected to the middle spawn, and the first one you captured. When you have about four or five on each (feel free to add more if you want, it might help), start sending beetles to the middle spawn, while reinforcing your spawn connected to it. Do this for a while, and you will break through. There's probably a better way, but I'm lazy and don't feel like finding it.

Pretty fun

Very addictive gameplay.

My only gripes is that it needs to be a tad more difficult & the higher lvl towers are a bit too much in cost (IMO). Also maybe a map or two with a few more nests to fight over. The gameplay has too much potential to limit it to only these few levels & small nest amounts :)

Overall, excellent work!

Loved it.. but...

i loved the game, but there are a couple flaws
-when you send units to a spawning thingie, after a random amount, it stops sending them, and this can really piss people off when you are attacking an enemy spawning point
-there is a random speed, and random amount of units that come out
- the roaches.. are EXTEMELY hard. they are so fast, yet theyre as strong as a large beetle. in the level thats shaped like an hour glass, the number stayed at around 2, but they just wouldnt die...
-knowing the radius of the tower's attack would be nice.
-once you give a spawning point a direction to send units, you cant make them stop.
-it would be nice to be able to upgrade the towers, or destroy towers
-exp gauge would also be nice
-the towers miss.. ALOT
i was writing this review while playing that level, and for some reason, my beetles stoped attacking.
