Reviews for "_-=[Remembering a Dream]=-_"

Very nice beginning

The flute and everything fitted very well with everthing else, but the 5th chord you hit sounded really sour, man (on the low strings).

Other than that small point, this song is well written, well excecuted, and very well mastered. Good work.
I've got a new song up called 'Termination', can you check that one out? Thanks.

MaestroSorrow responds:

I will check out your song as soon as I am able.

5th chord, sour eh... hmmm, I am not sure of what you mean, but I will try to pinpoint where exactly. I have a hunch where it may be. Thanks for the heads up, and for the review. ^^

I need those instruments..

I should check out classical more often,
how long does it take to compose something like this? - your stuff is always amaZin!

I need your instruments..

I made another Classical/HipHop track earlier, "String Theory"
you think you could check that one out if you're not busy?

thanks

MaestroSorrow responds:

well, this piece in particular took around 3 hours, but i've had some pieces take as long as 20. Depending on how complex, how long, and what exactly you are trying to emulate in feeling. I personally find battle songs take the longest, as you have to use a lot of notes, really quickly, with a great number of instruments.

As for the instruments, i'd be glad to give them to you, add me up on AIM, or MSN, and send me a shout. They're a bit big, but well worth the wait ^^.

I'll check out your song too, thanks for the review.

Enchanting

Very nice piece Maestro. I'm always impressed when the momentum of a song can be maintained and built up without the use of percussion.
The string programming is very strong, and the cellos sound lush and beautiful and mesh with the higher strings in many pleasing ways.
The flute parts are great, it's just a shame that the tremolo characteristics are the same for every note because it kind of gives the sounds away as being samples, and not the Vienna orchestra!
Keep it up, you're a master of classical.

MaestroSorrow responds:

when you have the time to individually adjust each note to sound different, you smack me in the face, because I did indeed have the time to do it, simply forgot >_<.

Long may that confusing statement live.

The flute section has 4 distinctive melodies going off at the same time, one of my more proud moments really, took a looong time to build it.

many thanks for the review ^^.

Interesting

It is defenitly different from all the other tracks you normally do. the genre does indeed match with the track. try claifying it a bit more.

MaestroSorrow responds:

will do Zen-Zudokai... I think I know what went wrong with this piece, and I point the finger directly at that stupid reverb effect.

I hate it when I put effects and then forget about them later.

Thanks for the review ^^.

Nice flavour

This tune has some nice flavour has a feel of some action film but a moment in between battle scenes but honestly this has some nice flavour about it and really enjoyed this piece please do make more amazing quality sounds
