Reviews for "The Foyle"

hmmm...

I think others will agree when I say I was more interested when I saw the menu page.

I really think you should think about exploring that a little more. Actual gameplay was average and a top down view is pretty boring. Seriously consider making a game that utilizes the visuals you used in the menu. It will be alot more unique and interesting.

good try

good try but i found this to get a bit boring quickly

GAME COULD B SO MUCH BETTER

I liked the graphics and i liked the story. However you dont have enough ammunition. You cant find any survivors and the guns have very short clips or dont have enough ammunition. I cant believe that you created a game that was awesome and then totally mucked up on the game play, SORT IT OUT or your game/s wont be too popular in the near future!!!

just a couple of things:

Let me see... faster monsters, lower enemy hitpoints... in fact, at the pace the baddies are moving closer is 'just' about right for one really huge slow movin mini boss for the 'end of area' battle. The fact that 'all' monsters moved at 'that' pace just drags on a little bit. If you are worried about the frame rate, try simplifying the models cause the 3d look isn't that necessary for a good game. The point of view is perfect though...

I can think of something that would really spice things up if you are in for a challenge for your next installment. Think 'Gears of War' where the walls are open and scattered through out the area. The 'duck' manuver is necessary when baddies are shooting back as the player needs to move in and out for a better angle. Heck, before every battle, the player can set up walls and traps on a grid that the actual play field would copy. Keep the 'safe area' at the bottem left corner where survivers and player could heal and restock ammo where its safe... at least till the walls gave in completely.

The flash light is a good idea but its just pretty redundant if the player can still see the entire area whether or not its illuminated. Just as in a zombie game 'the last stand', the player needs to find a certain number of gas tanks to move to a new defensive area. An option to flee at any time should be a good idea if ever the player is 'that' close to getting killed. How many hours walk to the next area depends on the percentage of gas tanks found before the player decides to make a break for it. Bad thing about it is the direction the monsters can come from is a full 360 degrees and the jeep 'safe area' is smack dab in the middle.

If you even wanna consider making a ground breaking flash game or even surpass a previous favorite 'the last stand' series... all these things should be considered...

Great game but

Its a great game, but it has one really annoying bug.
Its that the second weapon you have is still reloading and although you can see that its magazine is full, it still is reloading.
Please fix this bug.
