Reviews for "Pirate Defense"

Awsome

This game has a bit of a learning curve ... but once you get the hang of it, is completely awesome. It reminded me of a game called "The Incredible Machine" mixed together w/ tower defense. Very cool idea.

Short of the directions that are already built into the game, one way you could get the point accost on how stuff works is by starting off w/ a pre-made level maybe ... one with pre-built traps. Just a thought.

HeroInteractive responds:

We already have that in the game. In the play screen where you select your game mode, just choose "Pre-Set".

very, very well done

the linkage method is very accessable, even feels like you're designing a real game level
the potential for doom bringing is endless, but as it was said before, it would be nice to have a longer version, survival mode maybe?
the upgrades were very well thought out, and hearing the pirates comment on each type was disturbingly enjoyable :)

fun

its a fun game and funny pirate song , but the song text is 2 slow for the song , its good in the beginning but at a point the singing goes faster then the text

Finally, the next gen tower defense game!

For a very long time (imo) was DTD/MDTD the best tower defense there was.
You could buill your own path and end up with some nice strategies.
Though this game, this game has opened up so much more, path building wise and strategy wise. I'm... so... happy:P

Btw, 10/10 is only for games that hook me, and Flash games dont get me hooked very fast. 9/10, Great score:P

P.S. Blacksheep you dont deserve to play fallout.

Pretty good

I really liked this game, and the idea of using a trap-and-trigger system is really interesting. The only thing I think I didn't like is that some of the upgrades you can buy have extremely high prices that don't seem to match up with their usefulness (e.g. tar, hot coals). The occasional pirate also seems to be a little too good at weaving between your triggers. But it's still a pretty solid game and a cool idea.
