Reviews for "Apocalypse Please EP 1 B"

Cliche as hell

Animation was decent to mediocre at times, though some of the sequences showed promise. I dislike how all the characters look like some wapanese person's attempt to draw super deformed anime... It struck me like it was trying to get into the Anime section a little to hard...

Characters were cardboard, Tardis was the only good one mostly because he was voiced by Tomar. The girl struck me as the most cliche though. (I hate to say it but she was the worst character, she reminded me of the girl gamer/action girl cliche and she was by far the flattest character)

Story was your standard apocalypse thing... I liked the twist that life went on without much changing other than the danger factor, though everything else wasn't very good.

Voice acting was great, 'cept for the girl voice. Her voice sounded emotionless and flat, also it was way to generic. That could just be the lack of quality female voice actors on Newgrounds though... (not being sexist, other than Rina-chan, name one great female voice actor on Newgrounds... )

the jokes were pretty bad, 'cept for a few of them that were the reason I kept watching. But the family guy style flashbacks seemed out of place in a series like this.

honestly the entire thing just draaaaaaged on. I found myself only watching it so that I wouldn't feel like I cheated when I reviewed it... and to hear what Tardis was going to say next.

but really, this just seemed like it was trying waaaay to hard and reminded me of Naruto for some reason...

I thought this animation was mediocre, the voice acting by Omahdon and TomaMoto was the best thing about this one...

I feel bad leaving a review that doesn't say something positive at the end.

good effort, I look forward to seeing your next flash animation, I can tell your skills have improved since your last animation. Great voice acting too (Omahdon and TomaMoto)... great music as well, forgot to mention that one.

I really don't enjoy this

one thing that I think really contributes to my utter noninterest is are the colors. They are so bright and candycolored! The anime style is also illadvised for the setting of the movie strikes me as very american.

The animation is very mediocre also. The episodes are just to long and too bad. My advice is to shorten the length of the movie, cut out all the shit you through in here, and just go for better quality.

Meh, Boring

I thought this could turn into something interesting, being a new series and all

It isn't

Its full of so many cliches, and bad drawing that I feel like watching something else than this. The animations decent, but the weird deformed, anime style isn't really getting to me. The story's pretty simply, nothing deep,
But the voices, OH, THE VOICES! God, so grating on the ears, dragging on and on. At least you had TomaMoto act, which kind of saved it

Please, for the love of god! make it better in the next one

Pretty please?

Wow, that was.........dissapointing.

Let me start off with this. The voice acting was *horrible*. You could have done so much more with this. I have seen many of these jokes before (Stupid mascot costume, playing music before a fight, etc.) Also, the animation was crappy. I'm only giving you a 4 because some of it was funny.

nah

Very corny. Mr.Bob accurately listed a few of the flaws and there are more. can understand your work being influenced by various aspects of the media but this is almost plagiarism. I know that's too harsh but if you look through the piece, apart from character designs what part of this can you say is fully original? definitely not the jokes, zombies done, fighting school kids done,a team of teenagers armed with various weapons done done done. this doesn't mean the whole thing is a bad idea, we advance by climbing on the shoulders of previous giants. My suggestion is remove the outdated gags and the tensionless fight scenes (no threat of death or defeat). if the fight scenes aren't meant to have the viewer on edge maybe finding another method of making them interesting aside from the comedic tendencies (those jokes were mostly crap) would do you well. Unfinished work should not really be submitted. I appreciate the piece and I understand you wanting to share it but Star Wars was not submitted with it's best fight scene replaced with an apology and I think that goes for most great titles, sorry about your pc but for me, that would have been a clear sign to start over. I'll disagree with bob about the voice acting though. It wasn't the acting that was bad so much as the script. If you can't find a decent script writer have a look at what makes other pieces great and try to incorporate some of the techniques (not style) into your work. This series has so much potential and as much as I dogged on it I watched it all the way through of my own will, so not all bad. Last note: I get the idea that your work draws a lot of influence from anime. If that's the case my biggest piece of advice would be WATCH SOME BETTER ANIME
