Great song! Very catchy, and very futuristic-like. Very nice use of the techno-ish instruments. This should be used in the game somehow. Can't wait the see the full version of this song after you finish EBF4.
However, Matt Roszak said on hi DA account that he's only about 60% ish done, so you still have a lot of time to work on your songs for the game.

The only things I think which could be improved are the ones you mentioned already, though I think if you would have a intermission which sounds somewhat similar to the beginning that could be cool as well.
Anyway, for this being a WIP there is nothing less to give than 5 stars, also I might just say here that I love how you have so many different feelings in your tracks, keep up the awesome work!

It must have a boss which changes its forms, bonus if Matt forces the player to fly through the eyes or time the mouth like in the original StarFox!
