Couldn't have said it better myself
I agree with you from the start till the end of your comment (I actually managed to read it all!!). I believe I have read this same exact text before, but nevermind.
It's quite complicated to solve such a problem since, in this case, the problem isn't about the website but about its users. The dog-eat-dog is not only in the online entertainment, but in entertainment in general (that's where the "sex sells" concept comes from).
The REAL problem, IMO, is the NEED to obtain a high score or popularity from a submission. Any sane human being does something to obtain something in return that is worth his/her effort and same goes for the artist here in NG. I believe that most artists get discouraged by the initial low scores or few views and decide to take the EASY path of foul language, nudity, sex, violence and whatnot (which takes less effort to make and gives you many more +ve votes in return) in order to gain more popularity. Hell, even EGORAPTOR wrote in his blog that the art he does for "awesome" flashes is purposely below his real art skills, which REALLY PISSES ME OFF. I mean, why the fuck would you waste such talent?! I WISH I'd have the same talent as most of you artist damn it, but I can't draw for shit!
Anyway, I honestly don't even suffer the "frontpage disease" you talk about. I normally go in the flash/audio portal and click on the NEW entries that have no score and am usually delighted with great original flashes, and I believe I'm not the only one that does it :o). The trick lies in avoiding [BB] [GG] [KK], hentai, and (a newcomer) these kinds of parody-parodies you just submitted.
It is obvious that the 13-16 yearold public will be looking for nudity, sex, games and their favourite game-characters having sex simply because they're in an age that they'd hump virtually anything within arm's length (and NG has a free source of porn for them to enjoy). There's very little you can do about it without limiting the freedom-of-expression policy in newgrounds.
In conclusion, I think the solution to this problem should be:
ALL OF YOU ARTISTS OUT THERE, EXPRESS YOUR CREATIVITY WITHOUT SEARCHING FOR VOTES IN RETURN. IT'S ABOUT THE QUALITY NOT THE QUANTITY OF THE VIEWERS.
