Reviews for "Game & Watch: God of War"

Uhoh.. haxor! I guess I'm going to have to look into that, can't have that now can we? ;) Thanks for the heads up!

Great Way to Revive the Classic

Loved the game. Simple, funny and memory refreshment. God of War games are my all time favorite and to see you making the new-school old-school is great. Reminds me of the games you used to buy at Wal-mart or Meijer and you only had movement spaces. Over all, graphics are great for the genre, conversion of characters looks great as an 8-bit, and the music is awesome as well.
Brings me back to being a kid. Thanks for the good fun and keep it up!

Holmfry responds:

Thanks man! :) I'm really glad you like it!

Thanks for the awesome review!

cool

rly simple but i like it

Nice...

Never having played any real Game and Watch titles (besides the Game Boy Color Galleries), I think it's quite funny to see these kinds of flash titles. Nice job.

I'd like to see your take on Parachute.

Done already...?

It seems like you accomplished a lot here, but this entire game seems like a bit of a ripoff from the original Game & Watch "Hammer." Except this wasn't with Kratos and evil monsters, it was with some random dude and moles. That were eating his lawn. So are the evil monsters eating up Kratos' lawn...? (lol, random comment.) But anyway, it's a pretty good game, but kinda a ripoff.

Holmfry responds:

Thanks for the review! :)

As for the ripoff bit, it's not really a ripoff if I am openly doing a remake of an old classic - which I am, in response to a specific user request. Read the first 2 paragraphs of my author's comments for more details. ;)
