i love calvin & hobbes and i can see the resemblence. pretty kool i guess, but all that cacklin kinda threw me off.
A for effort
Considering this is your first toon and that you are busy studying, you deserve encouragement. The little bloke and his ship were drawn well and his character seemed more developed than the salesman's. I think it is obvious the birds are ducks, which means that you drew them well, but labeling them could indicate that either you think the audience is stupid or that you are insecure about your artistic abilities. The same goes for the mountain. The talent is definately there, keep working on it. The story line/plot is weak and this is what can hold it all together even if the art is crap. looking forward to episode 2.

interesting choice of spaceman spiff type character, but the insurance stuff kinda ruined it
