Reviews for "Mini-Game Collab"

Woo!

It turned out great guys! Was a pleasure doing Flashness with ya!

MrRandomist responds:

yeah me too! well done Short Monkey

Ummmm

I only played through the fish game

and most of these games arent truly mini games they are just short pointless games
a mini game is supposed to last under 45 seconds and be followed in quick succesion by another w/o being told the instructions

the first game was really not fun you died very quickly , bullets should have just kept going and not stopped where your mouse was.

the second game started off way too fast also [its kind of a trend in this collab]

the third game, the scoring was way too hard it was extremely difficult to even get a bronze

the fourth game was actualy fun but a constant flow of electricity and non assisted aim wouldve created a better experience

the fifth game... ummmm thats where your score went WAY down, i didnt die nothing happened i just was unable to be harmed, it said that my health was already at 0 so i just basicly owned it, but i couldnt quit

maybe include an exit button

MrRandomist responds:

What do you want me to call it then the game collab???? there small games just like mario party! there no 45 seconds

Overall, very enjoyable - details follow for games

Saving the World... I mean, the Moon:
Death and wave complete scenes were odd, maybe not fade, just cut to black/red? Camera selection was akward - I'd leave it out. Also, the aliens, particularly from the bottom, damaged the moon before they touched it. I loved the health regeneration.

Pee:
It was hard to hit the middle wire. Perhaps if one button press gave one move and holding did nothing? Also, maybe don't start the electricity until after you start peeing for a fresh start after a zap?

Angry Faic Toss:
Were springboards/speed boosts along the ground intended (as in other similar games)? I had a very hard time getting to a bronze score - even after a full screen mouse toss as fast as I could at a 45` angle.

Clones Ambush:
Hectic and frantic. Not my cup o' tea, but I'd've enjoyed this one if it were.

Sharkbait:
Cute game, but did you have to reverse the controls? It added more frustration than challenge. Otherwise the pacing was good and the challenge level felt about right. I loved the method of health regeneration.

Rock Guitar:
Very buggy. There were invisible icons that passed (I turned every icon green and no arrows red, had 7 misses at the end). Also, hitting an arrow key once will turn it green and it will stay green for the entire set on that line.

ASCII Tank Battle:
Enjoyable, challenging and not frustrating. The elements of the boss, bullets and minions all seemed in place and synergistic. You were able to recover from your mistakes with armor pickups, but you still had to be cautious to succeed. Very nice!

Death Ball:
No challenge at all, especially once you get the timing down. Maybe vary the pace of the balls, even allowing them to de-synch and move in a full circle (you die in the air, not on the ground). Just make sure they never cooperate to ensure your death.

Lost in the Dark!:
Enjoyable little maze game. I'd've liked to have seen a mapping system so you could see which areas you'd already been to - it would avoid a lot of re-exploration that seemed to be neccesary (e.g. finding door before keys).

Trilobitus:
Standard mouse avoider/collect points game and very well done at that. I enjoyed the touch of the insta kill predator, though I think it could have been improved upon if it weren't always in the same spot - just make sure there are no sure death traps.

Anatomy:
Very similar to Trilobitus. However, your icon was too large to be able to make realistic headway in the avoidance factor, especially considering the erratic movement of the sperm.

Block Swap:
Some of those colours are way too similar (lt. blue vs blue)! Also, many times a group of blocks wouldn't fade until I moved one of the blocks in it sideways, not bringing any new like-coloured blocks into the group.

Aerial Defense:
Same as Clones Ambush to me.

Monkey Maze of Doom:
Awesome, I love this type of game! Obstacles to avoid felt real and not overly contrived. I only wish it were more about exploration and that the time limit went away.

Bacteria:
Nice concept, however it was very annoying to have to keep watching that corner! A sound effect and a large, front and center icon of the new clickable would have been very helpful. Also, starvation due to lack of clickables needs to be prevented.

Sky Pirates:
The planes never despawn, even after you quit the mini-game. They keep lagging up the menu screen and whatever games you try to play until you refresh the game. Very enjoyable otherwise.

Spot the Difference:
There needs to be a way to quit this mini-game without completing it, especialy on hard where the differences are so nitpicky. Randomization would also add some replay value.

Possible Plane:
Enjoyable little mini-game. However, the motion of the target on level 2 needs to be randomized as it always ends in the same place.

L.E.D.:
No point to it, but there's no point to be had. You draw pictures, if that's fun you may enjoy it here.

Click on Buttons:
Fun, I enjoyed it. The only thing I can offer is to add randomization for replay value.

MrRandomist responds:

Thanks for another long review all your points seem to be valid, some i dont agree with but personal prefrance! =)
thanks

AWESOOOMEEE.

All what i can say, good job guys.
I played all the games, they are really great, but some games are buggy yes and my games too, i am a lil bit worried that we could not get on frontpage, but it is not a problem.
Next time gone be better !
But thanx you to collab, and good job with other collabs.
:)

MrRandomist responds:

=) thanks

Wow!

Overall, great job on the collab! The games are great, adn I see you fixed most of the glitches (there still are a few though :P). Thanks for doing this collab!

I take it by you want to hear more ideas that there will be a second mini-game collab. If so, make sure you PM me if you decide to do so and I'll make another game.

Thanks everyone!

MrRandomist responds:
