Very good and very sad.
I probably would have found it even more depressing if I didn't find the music so awesome. Personally I'd really want to see that music set to something else more focused on mystery and wonder (say in a place long devoid of human souls) rather than focusing on solitude itself.
I think the music might be better suited in an alternate animation, however that is not to say it does not fit well here, in fact the music and the animation blend very well.
Whatever you go to do keep up this level of work. It's fantastic.
