well you strike us as a master of beating off so we bow down to your knowledge on this matter
No deal
this did not follow the rythm, as a bassist for a good portion of my life i can tell you that the beat did not match with the drums, visually or auditorily. i even tried to sync it with the voice, to make sure i was coming in at the right time, but it made no difference. i was the first on the scoreboard for that ongaku, and my timiing has been measuered on some guitar program to be near the 0.03 of a second. this did not work for me. i hope its a sweet game for others.
Love it!
I love this game and wish it were longer (although since it's basically an ad for the full game, I suppose that's how it's supposed to work). My only real criticism is, the visual aid--the pulsing border--seems to be a bit out of sync with the music. I'm a very visual person, so when I first started, I tried using the pulsing border to keep my timing, but it never worked. Once I basically ignored the border and kept my timing with the music, everything was fine. (Although admittedly, even then it can take me a couple of tries to get started--once the little dudes start singing along, though, I have no problem and can basically keep going forever.) Maybe others are having the same problem?
Wonderful concept
Though it's fairly off putting for some gamers due to the rather strict timing. Also what I think would be a cool idea is to gain control of large mounts and have drum beats that emphasize just how large said beastie is. Something like one pata or pon every four drum beats to give the feeling of a lumbering powerful creature.
Fun
Short but fun, really though you need to stress in your comments to HIT THE ARROWS IN TIME WITH THE MUSIC. People seem to be having a hard time coming to terms with the keeping with the beat thing and blaming the game itself. Might pick up patapon later, game warmed me up to the idea.
