I think you're being seriously underrated here man. I have read the entire Divine Comedy, and this had me in stitches. Also, point of order GheyDawg, Dante was from Florence about the time of the Renaissance, not Greece.

Okay, your animation ability is fine and I personally like your spriting. Thus, you're one of those flash-makers in Newgrounds that I can expect decent work from. And this one? It's cool and all. I never read the book, though I'm told it's rather good (and the ones that followed were not so great).
Now, I'm not objecting to the animation, the context, or - in fact - the acting. However...I really found Toad's voice (and Mario's) to be a little scratchy and irritating. Nothin' wrong with everyone else's. Just that.
As I've mentioned, high-pitch Mario-imitation voices are not my forte...
