I know where you got the game idea. From a greek myth about a guy who a women but the women dies and he wants here back but she says if you want to get me out of hell you ned to take me out of here without looking back, but at the end he looks back, and the girl dies. I really like the enemies. Very challenging
Orpheus with a gun instead of a lyre
Really cool game! In this atari-like fantasy, you play a different kind of Orpheus, one that conquers hell through sheer platforming skill and a pistol instead of a lyre. Once you find your Eurydice, a twist to the gameplay occurs, adding even more power to the ending, which I thought was great. I won't spoil it here, but it gives a whole new relevance to this game, making it more than just a retelling of one of the most beautiful of greek stories.
Good work on this! The music is nice (not atari-like at all, unlike the graphics), albeit a bit repetitive, but since the game is not long it's not a problem. The game might seem hard but the constant checkpoints actually make it easy, unless perhaps you've never played a platformer.
