Yah, I'm gonna be THAT guy. . . even though it's irritating. Obviously you already know this, it's really for my own entertainment more than anything.
a) Of course thermite would set off metal detectors' alarms. All three of the ingredients -- the ferric oxide, the aluminum, and the magnesium accelerant -- are metallic. OK, maybe not the rust.
b) thermite isn't really much of an incendiary device. Although it generates a shitload of heat, since it pretty much gets consumed immediately, it isn't in contact with anything long enough to really set it alight, and thermite doesn't generate any flames to speak of, at least not the simple formulation the protagonist is using.
Game's fun! Smart dialogue! I had to use a system overload doohickey on one of the second scenario levels, so I think the difficulty is about right too. Please make more!
