i found it a little slow as well, but it was challenging and that was really good.
i didnt like the music loop though.

I managed to beat it in a few hours. There were a few annoying parts:
Individual bugs could be near death with no warning, and I wouldn't know it. Then they just die.
It's actually very easy to get money if you aren't stupid and greedy. Just raise your bugs till they're mature, and then only race people with slower bugs than you by stat checks. You'll win every time. I got up to 20K money that way. If no one in the arena has slower bugs DON'T RACE, just exit the arena and come back, new people with different choices. Fighting wasn't worth it unless you had much higher tier bugs anyway, where you had a chance in racing.
Getting the ultimate bug was also a pain since you had no choice but to breed them to get higher than tier 2, and if the mating failed (by that I mean you basically got crap bugs) you had to wait 30 days, and if you didn't know, the female eventually gets "too old" to mate, which means now you have to scour the store for new ones. This got to be a problem when I almost had the ultimate bug, but had already gotten ride of all my lower tier bugs, but was stuck with almost all males and had to breed from the ground up for the chance of getting a female.
Not to mention, they needed a ton of food and would practically die if they stepped away from it for a few sections. I was 4x speed, but they should get 4x speed when walking as well, not just grow/die 4x faster. Oh yeah, you MUST play in 4x speed, the game would probably take 6 hours otherwise.
