Reviews for "Pixtropolis City"

I Agree and disagree...

The music was a bit repetitive, and yes it probably would belong it an 8 bit game, but the fact that you were working with this music for 2 months to make a pixel-based production (thats not converted) out of it is amazing.
I really liked it overall! Great work!

Multiple problems...

I had multiple problems with this movie. Not technical, just overall.

The music was good, but ultimately repetitive, and belongs in an 8-bit game, not in a submission such as this.

One of the problems with the overall design of this was that everything had to be in a pixellated format. An original idea, but poorly implemented. It seemed as if no one knew whether it was 8-bit, 16-bit or 32-bit.

Another problem was that although the theme of this was pixels, it seemed as if many artists simply made their submission, and used an automated tool to convert it to pixels, which looks fake and tackey.

So there. 4/5.

Likey!!!!

I really liked the art and everything was well synced. Can't wait till the next collab!

Not so good, guys.

Sorry, but the only things that really make this video even bearable for an experienced pixel artist to watch is the music and the flash effects. Most of these sprites looked like your first try doing pixel art. I enjoy helping people, I suggest that you read some tutorials before doing another video like this. Also, do not use cruddy looking MS Paint drawings. If it is done freehand, it is not pixelart. I suggest you use a program specifically disigned for pixel art. My personal choice is GraphicsGale. Also, this video would be a good insparation: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view /418412

Good luck on your next video, if you make one!

loved it. ^o^

Concept: Pretty good.
Graphic: Come with the concept.
Song: Good and funny choice.
anything else?: continue your work, all of you.

good day, night, afternoon or whatever.
