It makes you think, but not quite hard enough.
It's a good concept for a game, but it has some deal-breaking flaws to it.
Pros:
The controls were fluid, and at it's core the game controls very well.
The concept of actually buying the pieces for your puzzle isn't something I see often, and it made this game interesting.
Though a bit monotonous, the music suited the game well.
Cons:
I realize after playing through a bit that this game was meant not only to test progressive thinking skills, but perception as well, so I won't ask for an option to 'test' the cogs before you buy them, as I think some people might. It would just take a great deal of the challenge from the game.
Now the 'plate' system, while interesting, has a fundamental flaw. It has to do with the fact that the cogs fall to the bottom of the screen when you drop them, when trying to buy and place a cog, having to play catch with your cog while moving the plate out of the way was irritating for the atmosphere of gaming this game creates.
Above all, and it may only be personal, this game grows monotonous far too quickly. This game carries a great deal of innovations to the puzzle type, but by level 10 or so I found myself dreading the effort of putting another puzzle together.
Overall good effort, but it could use a bit of 'spice' every 10 levels or so to keep it interesting.
