Fun, but some minor annoyances
First, it would be great if the game saved your highest planet achieved, so that if you quit you don't have to start all the way back at the beginning.
Next, I was obviously using it wrong, but what's the point of a more rapid rate of fire if all it does is heat up the gun faster? How about a gun cooling upgrade instead?
On a related note, the gun "ready" indicator would be better if it indicated when it had completely overheated (at which point, I think, you have to wait for it to cool down completely). As it is, the only indication you have is that the gun won't fire.
Level 4: TOUGH. Yeah, that's good, but -- I had two battle droids (and a half-dozen rocket launcher dudes) within shot of the drog base, and they eventually got pushed all the way back to the top of the hill! That's the sort of fight I'd expect at a later level, out of 10.
Overall, really good job. But it's the details that can push something beyond good to great.
Fun but I ran into an annoying bug
I was enjoying myself with the upgrades and snipers and the like but once I gave myself the faster fire upgrade my gun would fire sporadically rather than consistently. I would tap or hold down the space bar but it wouldn't fire then it would fire 3 bullets in rapid succession then stop firing again. I just tested it again and even pressing the green fire button produces the same sporadic results. It's rather annoying cause I would have to restart to be able to fire effectively again.

To simple
Easiest way to win is get all but the freeze upgrades as soon as you can. And then just spawn off as many of your foot soldiers as possible. once you get enough they just become an unstoppable tide of death. After the first two rounds you should be good enough to judge the angle of your canon with little error. And the fact that your canon can almost hit the enimes base makes this game waaay to easy. Overall its a good game, would love to see more upgrades, more levels and more enemies in the next one. fun game but it soon became repetitive...
Hmmm
It's not a horrible game, but it definately needs some improvements. One thing that bugged me was that if I pressed the fire button, the heat would go up even if the gun wasn't firing. This only happend when I upgraded the speed though. Also, on some levels the enemys were a little too strong and fast to even stop them from getting to my base. And as stated before, making the money go up faster would be nice.
