not bad for ur first time
Pros: this isn't ur typical rpg battle. Most rpg battles consist of never using magic attacks and just attacking and then using heal when ur health gets low. But u seemed to calculate the attacks so that the magic attack was so much better then ur normal attack that using magic in addition ur normal attack is actually encouraged in this battle. Average normal attack dammage: 120. Average magica attack dammage: 275. Thats more then twice as much. Also u can recharge ur mp so u don't have to worry about running out. The enemy also can heal and recharge mp too, making this a much more complex battle and requires some skill. U seem to be better at making rpgs then most of the dimwitts out there.
Cons: the only thing that i would say about this is u need to include the enemies health bar and mp bar. Part of an rpg battle is planning ur attacks based on how much mp and hp the enemy has. No one wants to sit there and have a notepad with them and subtract health themselves. i no u put the info in the discription but a health bar in game goes a long way.

For your first game, this is fun. Fun and SSBZ epic. and Yes, this battle reminds me of Super Mario Bros. Z for some reason.
