Reviews for "Mushroom Tower Defense"

Pretty Good

My only problem is that I wish I could navigate with the arrow keys T.T

Awesome TD

best TD i have played outside of WC3 related ones, great stuff! =D

Interesting, but in a good way!

Always been a fan of TDs and this is a good one.

I always go in with the intention of using varied tactics, but when I get stuck, I use what I think of as the one of the classic TD tactics, usually I would go for stuns, slows and splash, but that does not seem to work on this one, so I go for the below as a starter:

Find a nice long stretch of path where the creeps will go past twice and far enough so that by the time the creeps are coming back, none of your towers are firing. DO NOT place on a bend, go for the middle of the straight, so that the creeps will walk past twice and you get the most possible shots off.

Build about 5 towers in a line parallel with the path clearing trees if needs be, that should get you through the first 4/5 waves on their own.

Firstly upgrade the tower in position 2 to a level 3 wealth tower (Red+Yellow), then Get the two towers in position 3 and 4 upgraded to level 3, then upgrade the tower that the creeps will go past first to level 3 and upgrade to be a splash slow (Yellow+Green+Blue).

Then drop a blue into tower 2 to make it a splash poison, then build combinations of sniper (Blue+White+Yellow) and machine gun (White+Yellow) in surrounding spaces.

Drop in the odd extra splash slow and splash poison here and there to keep the effects up and you are all set up. You may spill a few creeps (I missed one on map 4 with this tactic), but should at least make it through the first 4 maps with relative ease.

The only other things you need to think about are the timings to start new waves, know your tower's limits and time the waves so that you are not facing 2 waves at once, this may mean releasing earlier than you normally would, but rather have 2 full waves on the field passing the towers at different times and faster than one half killed one coming back past as a fresh one starts. Then there are the usages of Accessories, but common sense tells you where to use those.

Also, in-between levels, try and remember to use your skill points, personally, I like the cash over time one (makes for easier starts) and generally damage up is good. The only other one I would consider is longer waves (think easy money). If you want to get the gold medals, as suggested before, take the accessory one and keep restarting until you get 1/2 dolls, but you do not really need that tactic in the first 4 maps, maybe later, I do not know.

Overall, very good game, not too hard, not too easy, good fun experimenting with combos etc.

Good luck and happy shroom hunting :)

Great at first.

Thought it was great... but the difficulty jump is insane! i can beat 90% of the TD games i play after a few hours.. or even a day or 2.. but level 4 wave 51 is so hard!.. even with a few well placed splash slow and splash posion and some wealth towers... i was still losing.. i actually killed wave 52!! but wave 51 almost all of them made it......

Great Game

I always love a new tower defense game. It was a little annoying having to experiment in Lvl 1 and then not being able to use many of those combos later on in the game. 5/5 9/10
