Reviews for "XGen Tactics"

I still love this little game.

Make Moar ._.

Over-Kill responds:

Haha, there will definitely be more.

nice start

Others have already suggested most of what I wanted to say. I did read the instructions, but I have to admit that was a pain! it would be nice to be able to scroll through them with the arrow keys. I also noticed that every new page that gets displayed, starts somewhere halfway. So you have to scroll up first to be able to read. Small things, but annoying.

Over-Kill responds:

Good ideas, thanks!

How do you know if your winning?

And what is the winning condition, you need to make that clear. But, the game is very good.

Over-Kill responds:

The default is to get 10 units to the other side of the screen (So the disappear over the side). Once that many units have reached the other side that team's "King" is spawned, killing the king results in you winning. Same if they get their units over your side of the map and kill your king.

Hmm

It's an enjoyable trailer...
Those types of game are pretty cool and the Attack and Defense is a cool feature...
Even though it's a trailer, perhaps the final production will contain more detailed graphics. There are some bugs or maybe I'm just blind, the medic vs tank...Or prehaps u notice it...

Overall I look forward in playing the real thing

Over-Kill responds:

I've not seen any problems with medic vs tank, can you explain further?

Desperately needs sounds

Just a few for the weapons and death will make a world of difference. It also seems a bit hard, I'd make the intro level about twice as easy as what you think it should be. I clicked into it and made some soldiers and got owned really fast and didn't have much of an idea what to do differently so I closed the game. There are probably tactics I could have used in the instructions but no one reads instructions. So my main recommendation is to make it so the first level is stupidly simple to beat and add sounds.

I don't follow what you mean there.
As for it being a hard game, yes it is hard. Some games though you just have to tough it out and read the instructions or actually use skill to beat. I don't want the AI to be stupid after all, and there are options to make it easier and harder. Really the default is about mid-way difficulty, which is saying something.
Thanks! The reason there are no sounds was to keep file size small for forum use.
