Reviews for "Get Off My Planet"

Could have been better.

I actually would love to see a version of this game without the tower defense aspect. I was more interested in the city/planet building aspect of the game. It would have been more fun if that was the focus with set "invasions" every level, increasing in difficulty.

As it was, I found it too monotonous to keep up with both.

Generally good, but too fast.

A nice game which is addictive in that you want to play again and again to improve your score. But the waves of ships come in very rapidly even on Noobie. Plus there seems to be a bug when you play for the second time; to make it work I have to reload the game. I like the game and had fun with it, good concept. To improve this game, please make the delay between waves longer; I found it difficult to get to wave 30 on Noobie!

What a flop

When I went to place my city on the first planet, it hummed, then locked up.

Enemy waves come in way too fast even on Nooblet level.

Research Center is so expensive, you either buy it and hope you get enough to buy laser defenses or die. Or get a city surrounded by weak defenses, hospitals, farms, and mines.

The game was utterly ridiculous.

Death From Above

After 51 it did get ridiculous. But I was able to hold out, I set myself up for an epic showdown. All researchs finished, EMPs, Freeze Turrets and Obliterators on all of the planets outskirts. They were backed by dozens of Laser turrets and enough Power Plants to power them all. I terraformed the planet so it was a productive money/power provider. Most of my mines were destroyed by the never ending onslaught of space armada, but the money I gained from killing them was more than enough to keep buying power plants. The game eventually kept freezing constantly but I still held on.

There was no way I was letting that grumpy news reporter from Futurama take my planet, even if he had dyed his skin. On and on it went... til finally one suicidal bonzai attack upon my city while my defences were down. A bright light and it all went away.

I think level 51 in Nan is the actual time limit of the game. The intention is to reach a pop, but dammit, how will a large population stop the genocide?

OK game... but needs work. Still fun for 20 minutes or so.

meh
