I agree with the father. What self-respecting male would like a movie where the highlight was watching one of the two main characters finally drown so you could be sure the sappiness was over at last! I mean, some chicks went to watch that movie 27 times! They spent... what the hell was a ticket back then... about $7.50 I guess. They spent $202.50 on tickets for this movie!
It wasn't that good! It was a sappy, over-wrought love story thrown into a historical background!
They all went to see it because they had some obsessive sex addiction with Leo. THAT WAS ALL!!
