what a change

seriously at first it was VERY hard to tell if this movie was from someone inexperienced or if this was a style they were going for. Not to far into the short film you could tell it was a style and for some reason it really did hit home... i can't explain it.

this is not some positive review because i'm jumping on the front page wagon, front page doesn't mean perfection, and can sometimes be crap. But i can see why this is up there. Great job, i think ill watch it again :D

Very deep

Well, congratulations on trumping every single Hollywood horror movie coming out lately and making a perfectly scary and terrifying flash movie! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
My interpretation is as follows. The whole thing starts off by a scene with a boy seemingly standing on one side of a cliff which, of course, isn't there. It's simply to represent the gap between him and the other boy, of whom he knows nothing about apart from that he's scary. This is compounded by the fact that a crow perches on his roof, a creature that represents fear (maybe veen death?) and at his house, a cat, a creature everyone is familiar and comfortable with. Probably unknown to him, this image is engraved into his subconscious. The place where he lives is apparently hot. With heat comes dehydration and with dehydration, hallucinations or in other words, "losing your frame". The boy falls asleep and due to lack of water, his imagination starts running wild.
A beautiful, vivid world with lush plant, which is soon burnt away by the sun. Soon, nothing but darkness remains. That, and the scary boy next door, which to the boy seems to be the cause of the destruction.
He wakes up, determined to see whether his dreams were pure fabrication or if there was truth in there as well. As he approaches the other boy's house, his mind starts distorting the image of the scary boy, to the point where the scary boy seems to be taking pleasure in his discomfort. Holding his breath, he flips on the switch and reveals...
A very normal boy, holding a flask of water. My guess is he has always remained inside the house because of the heat and/or because he's shy. The formerly scary boy offers him a drink and the two become friends.
A very good flash, more of the same please!

Twist responds:

You have a very, very good interpretation of the movie and were the first one to pick up on one of, if not THE movies main points of "dehydration"

Skills

You are very skilled with backgrounds, music and creating atmosphere. These are things that many people are not good at - I am, and many people should be, jealous.

I would love to see you team up with someone for character design and story. You would be unstoppable.
