Reviews for "Warbears: An A.R. X-Mas"

Fantastic!

This game is so good.
Full of humor and crazy stuff.
Fantastic!

By the way, @ Loy6: This is an adventure, not a mission.
By missions, you have many endings.
By adventures, you have just 1 ending.
that's the difference.

Kind of Disappointing

The first Warbears was so good. There were so many little problems to solve, and you couldn't help but feel like you were part of the action. This was really just kind of boring. Guy goes shopping, gets wet, and now bright lights are the only way to stop the bad guys. There was no thinking outside the box here, which is what made the first warbears so great. There was a whole lot of potential with "E-Dude" but he was only there to help with one puzzle and a way to finish the story.

That said, the writing was excellent. Just like the first one, there were plenty of times where I laughed. The cast of unique characters is just so great for the little conversations and observations they have. Steve's ideas about Chistmas pranks and the smart-allecy nature of the antivirus program were great.

By no means did I not enjoy this game, It just didn't live up to the first one as far as gameplay. there was no way to utilize the special characteristics of each character. You could have swapped Steve and Kla with each other, or the other warbears, and it would have been the same story. The only thing about the story that was character-driven was the prank.

There just seemed like it was missing a lot that the first game had. And I realize this is probably just a result of being crunched for time for christmas, so i know you can do better.

I love te style of the warbears games, by the way. Keep up the good work.
