Excellent Work.
First off, I must say I was completely enamored with the art style, as apparently everyone else is. What I liked a lot was the fact that, even though the characters were mainly shadows, you could clearly note the differences between them, and the dialog boxes actually gave them faces without completely ruining the mystique of the shadows.
Also, the storyline was very impressive. It was well structured, and it kept me wondering what was going to happen next. While the ending was a little bit predictable, it was still somewhat unique enough to not disappoint.
As for the jumping, I didn't have the same problems as many of the other players. I mean, yes, Vandheer slid quite a bit, and his jumps were a little slow, but once you got used to timing them, and being able to accurately judge how far you can move after a jump, it made it a lot easier. The only recommendation I have is to make the recovery time from his jumps just a little better. I can understand that he'd hunker down after a really high jump, but for Vandheer to pause like that after even a short hop leaves you very wide open.
The combat system was fun, and I liked the variety of moves. I think the only thing I would change is a more...aesthetic change. Since the blades are different, they should have different combo animations, in addition to the variety of special moves. But that's just me.
All in all, this was a very impressive entry, and I would enjoy seeing more like this in the future. Keep up the good work.
