Interesting, but flawed
A game as complex as this is going to be very difficult to get 100% perfect, and unfortunately this particular game falls short.
The movement of a 'threatened' piece often only happens if you refuse to take other pieces or complete the level how IT wants you to, for what in theory should be very non linear completion the scripting makes it follow a very linear pattern on some levels.
It was good but the name is bad.
LOL I'm going to make a checkers game and name it Call of Duty 5 Battle For Space.

I liked it, but I think you should add a mute and an undo buttons. I didn't play for very long(I stopped around level 10), but it's somewhat to easy.
In the interests of challenge I understand limiting ways knight can move(knights jump to square they're going, they don't move one square to a direction and then two squares to other direction(even though this gives you the correct place it moves to) like you had implemented the movement), but it's not a very elegant solution and I think the game would be better if you had not limited the movement the way you did while retaining challenge.
Very interesting, to say the least.
