eh, didn't even properly follow the rules of chess
I didn't even finish the game, so there might be more things wrong. Knights should be able to jump over things like in real chess. This means pieces and empty spaces in the way shouldn't matter. I play competitive chess, so this bugged me a lot.
I also didn't like how the pieces would move randomly when attacked...and sometimes not move when attacked. In some (and probably most) cases, it shuld have been impossible to win, but the king would stop moving after being attacked a few times and just let you capture him.
Also...not a move limit, or even a counter? Try again. This was a horrible representation of chess.
Wonderfull game
The game was lots of fun to play. My only real complaint is that there are a couple levels where whether or not you can win is based upon a random reaction from an enemy piece. A prime example of this is level 37 on the fourth platform where there is only the rook. I made the same move 4 tries in a row (no other move available as far as I could see). First three times it blocks me in. Fourth time it leaves itself vulnerable and I win.
Other than that simple but fun gameplay, and very well done graphics.
fun and simple
awesome game. pretty addictive, but I would be happy with less elements and more variety in the level layouts. I had tons of fun playing this game.
Fun game
At times this frustrated me but i loved it when i got the darn queen! great game over all. it does get difficult and you really have to think to get to the king and the star but it is really fun
