Lots of fun and visually stunning. I still don't understand the role of white/black squares or why white/black don't just alternate moves every time. Fun puzzle game and now I'm seeing knight's moves on my bathroom tiles!
I think I should write for this one.
Not because anyone's giving a hard time. Just because I like it.
The concept of the black knight taking on the rest of the chess pieces in this puzzle format was...clever. No, seriously. My mind went back to an episode of Batman: The Animated Series. (If you know the episode, you know what I mean.) So, you have the Dark Knight, errr...I mean black knight go through this series of challenging puzzles and interesting elements to prove your wit. And why not? I like chess. Not because I'm all "I wanna win!" Mr. Chessmaster. It's a good, friendly game.
Now then, onto the mechanics. A knight's path is one that forces you to think carefully, for he walks a wily way. Of course, the inclusion of other piece movements made it more interesting, and the fact that the pieces react to you? Even better. However, there is a distinct problem I have with some of the levels. You have some of the pieces moving around randomly, which is a challenge BUT it's not STRATEGY. Chess is a game of strategy, and waiting for a piece to randomly fall into your line of influence goes against the nature of the game.
So, you get nine. It's still a great game.
great concept, but needs some work
loved what your trying to do. i didnt like how the knight cud not go through pieces that were in it's way like real chess. also, and im entirely sure about this one, but i think if there was two bishops they cud be o the same diagnols which completely changes the game unlike real chess. one more thing i think the knight should change into whatever piece its moving like, to limit some confusion.
