Reviews for "A Tweenless Animation"

woo!

it dont have to be art to be funny... nuff said

it may be tweenless but that doesnt make it good

you need to work on your animating skills a lot. as of now, your FBF looks bad, very sketchy. did you use a mouse to draw it? because it looks like you did. might want to invest in a tablet or improve your artistic skills by taking art classes and such.

a few other suggestions. think of something legitimate to animate, don't just go from one thing to the next with no logical structure or narrative whatsoever. i know you're only 15 and mindless violence naturally appeals to you but it does not exactly make for a good or innovative animation. but good effort and intentions, i guess

liked the news post about underrated animations, btw

i use a tablet. but i really should take some art classes.

I'm with Raz2005

For me the only plus was the whole FBF idea. An all FBF movie is a great idea, but it makes it seem like it should be something artistic, not just some scribbly soldiers throwing grenades and shooting at each other. I mean, come on. With a background story like that, tweening seems like it would become more impressive. This comes off like a joke that's not funny - you wonder what the heck to make of it because it has no real creativeness. Besides, the FBF isn't exactly amazing. It's quite jumpy and lumpy, to be honsest. I see much room for improvement. Overall, not terrible. Just random.

Fawx responds:

im not a very good animator in case you havent noticed.

Hehehe!

Wow. This really put a smile on my face! =D
The audio was unexpected, but I liked it.
Oh! & congrats on winning 3rd place today!

it was yesterday but STILL ACCEPTABLE B).

That's alot of work...

It must've taken a great deal of self-motivation to be able to complete an FBF animation with that many frames.

That having been said, you appear to have confused achievement with art. From a brief reading of the reviews you appear to be getting angry at people who leave bad reviews while seeming to make no attempt to understand their reasons.

Just because what you did is difficult, doesn't mean people are going to like it. You must remember that to alot of people, the fact that you did it all FBF means little to nothing. In my opinion, if you wanted more favourable reviews, you should have spent your time working on something more artistic. You could have made a story, for instance, or a short sitcom, and made that FBF instead. It would've been no less impressive at worst, and at best.... deserving of all the effort you put into it. The viewers want to see content, regardless of how hard it was to make. Do you think, if Leonardo da Vinci had painted the Mona Lisa while hanging upside down from the ceiling, it would have been received any differently?

Eighteen hundred frames of doodles seems to be a waste of time, but then again, I don't know what you got out of it. Perhaps all that work has helped you to improve? Maybe that's why you made it, to test, to improve? But whatever you got out of it, I hope we see more work from you.

And hopefully it will have more depth, even if that means sacrificing some of it's technical impressiveness. To think of all the things you could do with flash considering the amount of effort you are willing to sink into it, I believe you could make masterpieces if only you spread your effort more evenly.

Fawx responds:

i dont get mad at reviews with constructive criticism. i get mad at really retarded reviews.
