Reviews for "The Room (Dubstep Remix)"

Yes it's awesome reflects the game and film very well keep up the good work mate 10/5

RAVEN responds:

Many thanks, Tollo! =)

Quite an excellent track, but not really true dubstep. There are dubstep elements about it, needless to be said.

Love the 8-bit elements, voice work and general musical architecture in this song. The transitions are wonderful and I fucking applaud what you did at 3-3:45.... Completely drags the listener in and leaves them wanting more.

Keep up the awesome.

RAVEN responds:

Thanks a bunch CommonOddity! It's true that this track isn't what many would consider actual dubstep, and honestly I feel the same way. This was my first attempt at a dubstep track so it just ended up going in an unconventional direction, but I am pretty happy with the result. I'm glad you dug the 8-bit elements since I tend to use those in the majority of my music. Thanks for the very helpful and constructive review, and I'm happy to hear you enjoyed this track.

Yeah that's tight dog. Pounds good and the main rhythm is catchy. Better than I thought it would be by a lot.

RAVEN responds:

Thanks dude, appreciate it!

I like how you managed to work in The Room Theme so well, and you also managed to keep the song going for 4+ minutes without it seeming repetitive. That's a big problem a lot of The Room remixes have, they repeat one thing too much and become boring after a minute. This stayed catchy the whole way through.

RAVEN responds:

Thanks! I felt the same way about other "The Room" remixes. They seemed to just drone on forever and focus too much on using humorous dialogue than actually focusing on the content and structure of the music itself. I aimed to use just enough dialogue to make this a genuine tribute to the film, but I also made sure not to go overboard by only sampling Johnny's lines and The Room theme while emphasizing the actual music. Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you like what you heard!

Sweet. A fulfilling, dirty cacophony with crunchy wobbles and crisp audio clips. Having not seen The Room yet, I'm now quite interested in how it inspired this amazingly-produced "remix" of yours. Keep up the good work!

RAVEN responds:

Thanks BananaShoryuken for the constructive and detailed review! I'm glad this has given you some inspiration to check out the film. As I said in the description, it's laughably bad, but definitely worth the watch. I will say this though: the music is AWFUL! Best of luck making it through the gratuitous sex scenes with horrible, cheesy "love-making" music that sounds like it was pulled out of a compilation CD titled "Worst of the 80s: Romance Ballads To Ruin a Relationship With." Anyways, I digress. Thanks again!
