The controls might have been better if ...
... you got rid of the space bar to jump. The mechanism to move the ninja from one side of the rope to the other is through the arrow keys, and it would seem that moving him from one rope to the next is just an extension of that. That is, the horizontal arrow keys should naturally take care of ALL horizontal movement. Unless there is a good reason to break that movement up into 2 separate keys, you've only added additional burden to the player as he now has to get used to unfamiliar game play.
Great, but hard.
It was a good concept, implemented in an okay way. I think you should take out that whole needing to make a certain amount of money thing out, I found that if i failed a level, I had to go redo the first levels over and over again until I had enough money for skills and lives to try again, and it got really frustrating.
It was entertaining
I don't understand why people are writing so much negative reviews! This wasn't that bad. I actually enjoyed playing this. The graphics were good, music was nice and the gameplay worked perfectly.
I have to admit that this got pretty boring after a while, but it was still a decent game. You also get bonus for using ninjas in your game!
