There's room for improvement, but this is a good start. Gotta love Hellsing.

Hmm...
Hard to say what my exact feelings are on this one. There are some strong points, but its hard to look past the bad ones. As far as the good goes, the art is better than I had expected and the voicework isn't terrible (though there's some strange background noise whenever a character speaks) but far from stellar.
The animation, however, is a large drawback. The choppy camera movements and minimal character movement makes the entire thing feel stiff and unpolished.
The plot is a mixed bag: I'm interested in the cat, and what its purpose may be, but the scene is so short and so little is explained I felt frustrated at the end rather than eager to learn more. Overall what's holding this back is a lack of content and an unpolished feel in both the animation, the story and the characters.

As for the background noise, I had to use the mic. on the computer for that one and the noise was unavoidable.

To be brutal or to be honest.....
I have seen most of the stuff currently out in regards to Hellsing (the one exception being the fourth ultimate OVA) but this was a literal wtf submission.... I watched it once and then watched it again to make sure I saw it right. Now you have me writing a review for it.... Curse my habitual review writing... I would love to see if you made this art style in to some thing original, any thing would probably work well with it, but I leave that up to your disgression. I think you nailed the voice actors perfectly and the sound quality on the music just needs a little cleaning up. If you can get that done, then I have made my point and can be content for today. If you don't get the chance to, then you don't get the chance to, nothing I can do about it I guess than to suggest the above and wish you luck with your future submissions. Better to be brutally honest and learn then nice and learn nothing. I agree that the sound needs some cleaning up, and if I can I'll have that done by thursday.
