Reviews for "Parasite X"

thats what she said

It really did get boring pretty fast. All the levels are the same.

not bad, but then again....

It's okay. it's put together flawlessly, the music is perfect, but I'm sorry, it's just not interesting. The concept of a parasite or virus has been done a couple of times, in some ways that fairly resemble this. However, those games usually involved a more interactive gameplay, such as avoiding prescription medicines flowing throughout the blood stream and fighting off white blood cells, whereas this seems to be nothing more than collect the little red lights on the screen. It's okay, but nothing more.

Honest review, don't get angry

The classic controls where you move your mouse to the screen and the screen moves, and the even more classical concept of killing the enemies before they pass the line, and gaining points which can later be spent for upgrades is usually great when used in a flash together. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. The gameplay gets old fast, and with no slight change of objective only the obsessively compulsive would play the game for more then 10 minutes.
If you want to make it better, here's 5 things I think you should do.
A.- A more complex control
B- a more zoomed out screen
C- Upgrades in impossible mode, which are less effective
D- Add some spice to it (ex. instead of merely trying to block cells by eating them maybe cells that can attack you will come, so it isn't a one sided fight)
E- A reward system for certain achievements, those are always nice to have on board

Bleh

Fun for a few rounds, upgrades dont do shit, all the basic stuff said before me.

Good ideas, bad performance.

It had potential, but all you do is move your mouse onto red dots. The upgrades were horrible, you couldn't even tell anything changed when you upgraded the size of your ball. The radius of the bombs didn't really get much bigger with each upgrade. The sound was horrible and very annoying. I think that if you changed the upgrades to where they actually seemed like they were doing something and added better audio, this game could be a great success. But the repetitiveness of it, the horrible sound, and the upgrades just killed what had the potential to be a good game.
