Reviews for "Parasite X"

nice!

dude i like the evr increasing tension in each level as the enemies increase.
i think i played for a while because there was that much tension my brain nearly melted!

anyways this is a nice game i can't wait for the next one!

Honest review, don't get angry

The classic controls where you move your mouse to the screen and the screen moves, and the even more classical concept of killing the enemies before they pass the line, and gaining points which can later be spent for upgrades is usually great when used in a flash together. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. The gameplay gets old fast, and with no slight change of objective only the obsessively compulsive would play the game for more then 10 minutes.
If you want to make it better, here's 5 things I think you should do.
A.- A more complex control
B- a more zoomed out screen
C- Upgrades in impossible mode, which are less effective
D- Add some spice to it (ex. instead of merely trying to block cells by eating them maybe cells that can attack you will come, so it isn't a one sided fight)
E- A reward system for certain achievements, those are always nice to have on board

Really enjoyable

This is one of the more addictive games i've played recently, and it had an original concept that was executed well.

There were a few things like your buddy's parasitic brain being made of shit and unclear boundaries, but i dont think i was suposed to think for a second that my buddy was going to really be of use after realising he wasnt mentioned in the tutorial.

Also there should be more upgrades for your buddy, so the prospect of fighting a horde of blood cells with a retard is uplifted by the realisation that soon there will be 4 or 5 retards, all with machine guns.

Haha! thanks , yeah he really has a mind of his own, i had a detailed explaination of him in the tutorial but my sponsor wanted me to remove it. it said something like he has a mind of his own blah blah, annyways that is a good idea, im probably going to have multiple buddies in the next parasite x

Tediously annoying controls!!!!!!

The concept is good, and the game itself was fun enough; however it gets boring quickly. But none of that is nearly as annoying as the the control system. Using the mouse to move is one thing, but to move the screen with you, while trying to aim just right to 'eat' the red cells is really annoying and is what made me eventually stop playing. You have an option to zoom out, yet everything freezes when you do, so you are forced to play in this horribly over zoomed in cramped space with awkward controls. Zoom out the actually game a little bit, make it easier to pick up the red cells so you don't need to be super precise, and have an option to let you play with it zoomed all the way out and then you may have a good game.

unbelivable responds:

Hmmm that seems like more of a personal opinion then annything usefull for me, do you have vertigo or something? annyways i dont think my game deserves a 3, i think you need to try harder when you review games.

how i died at level 30

good game but there's a glitch you can get stuck at the top if you grow your body to be over 80 and go up there that's how i died.

edited in 2019. still good, feelsgoodman.
