Reviews for "Monty Python's FF1"

great animation

I liked this over your other Final Fantasy animation. This one had color, after all. I was hoping you'd actually draw a dark knight though for the black knight (I know the differences). I loved the battle damage. This also makes Red Mage gain no exp for running from battle. It would have been nice if the black knight had the invincible status on him, or if he had some sort of auto-phoenix down or something, despite losing limbs. Of course, that's all technical and geeky. I don't want to give this a 10 because the audio isn't yours. Also, BECAUSE it's the scene of the black knight and King Arthur, I find it overplayed, even though I find all versions well done. Other than that, no real complaints.

DarqV responds:

Nice review, and thanks for the generous score!

Sorry if this didn't read well, but the whole point of the bit was that the Red Mage had already WON and gotten the EXP, which is why the black knight still fighting was comical.

Thus the "WON!" message at the beginning.

Hope that alleviates all "geeky" (what I would consider legitimate) inquiries.

keep it up

I would just give you a ten for useing Monty Python, but it's true the graffics and timing could be better so, 8. But I still think it's nice work.

Pretty good.

In my opinion the entire black knight scene is entirely overused. Its seems its the only part most people remember about the movie. But the animation and voice sync was pretty good. If you were to make another one make it about the "Count to 3" part. Or the bridge part.

DarqV responds:

Eh, used it because it was the only one that I thought fit the action based style of Final Fantasy. Plus it was just a short snippet, and you get the joke quickly. It's not my favorite part of the film by a longshot.

My favorite segment is the one with Lancelot at Swamp castle. Following that it's definitely Dennis the Peasant, but it's all good.

Genious

Good synchronizing and timing. Great movie choice also.

Bugger me blue

I did not expect this flash to be so well animated, after yuo did write "'m not yet too experienced" so that was agood suprise :)
